You know what, you aren’t helping yourself, but keep spouting lies. It’ll bite you in the ass in the end.

Cool story bro. Some times you see a news story and you read it and then stare at it for a very long time. You stare at it saying “Really? Really?” I ran into one of those today. I just stared at it and then I got a little mad. I don’t understand how people can continually buy the bullshit that politicians spout. “I’m not anti-this, but I’ll vote against it while denying that I’m against what my constituents want.” All politicians do this. The fucking outright hypocrisy of most politicians pisses me off more than anything. You know, the ones that vote against making an entire class of citizens, like hate crimes legislation and protecting the rights of gay citizens, and then getting busted with a same sex partner coming out of a gay bar. Or propositioning a member of the same sex in a bathroom somewhere that as a matter of fact turns out to be a cop. This kind of behavior should make everyone angry because it’s the whole “do as I say, not as I do” kind of attitude that many in places of power feel exempts them from the repercussions of treating a portion of the population as second class citizens. It’s hypocrisy, pure and simple and if we continue to let them get away with it more people will be seen as second class citizens. They are supposed to be serving the people, not the people being their private serfdom.

This article “GOP women defend party against ‘anti-women’ charge is what set me off on this little rant. How can any woman defend the platform that the GOP has been putting forward as their agenda as anything but anti-women is beyond me. To these assholes women are second class citizens who aren’t even able to make up their feeble little minds about a damn thing, let alone their own health care. The ladies over at Feministing have probably answered this bullshit better than I ever could, but I’m ready to rant.

Okay, these politicians that are aiding and abetting the cowards of their party in making women into second class citizens are claiming that they aren’t anti-women nor is the GOP. Okay, then explain these things to me.

If the GOP isn’t anti-women, then why do they want to redefine rape? Is it because women make up “rape” all the time? Or is it that women that get abortions are all whores who use abortion as birth control? No, I don’t think any of those are true. Actually, I know they aren’t. But that’s what the GOP would have you believe. Because abortion is evil and would never be used to save the life of a mother, right? Unless you’re a GOP politician and the woman is your wife…

If the GOP isn’t anti-women, then why do they want to cut funding to Planned Parenthood? Oh, it’s not because Planned Parenthood helps with family planning, birth control in the form of the pill and condoms, or screening for STDs and other medical problems like cancer. It’s because a small amount of services that Planned Parenthood provides is abortion. Oh no, that whole abortion canard again. They haven’t been able to cram it through on the federal level yet, but several states are trying. Indiana has cut all federal funds for Planned Parenthood by refusing them. The fact that none of the federal funds that Planned Parenthood receive go to fund abortions due to the Hyde Amendment that was passed in 1976. Of course if they pretend that it doesn’t exist, they can continue force their draconian world view on lower income women who can’t afford to get medical treatment like pap smears and gynecological exams elsewhere.

If the GOP isn’t anti-women, then why are they throwing a fit about some incentives to push for more mothers to breastfeed? Breastfeeding is now a “far left issue”? Really? I thought breastfeeding was more beneficial to the child, but I could be wrong. I wasn’t aware of the political implications of a mother feeding their child. OH WAIT! The GOP wants to cut WIC funding by 11 percent. Fuck all those babies that you are going to be forced to have because you can’t afford to go to Planned Parenthood anymore and get birth control. And no, you may not have an abortion, especially in Kansas, even though it’s legal to have an abortion in the United States due to Roe v. Wade. Don’t even get me started on the forced sonogram and “crisis pregnancy centers” that are being foisted on women that are having enough problems as it is. Legislators need to butt the fuck out of the doctors’ offices and let the professionals do their jobs. Or do they think women are too fucking stupid to be able to decide what to do with their own bodies?

Do they really think that they’re fooling anyone? Why do I even ask this, of course they do. There are far too many people in this country who don’t educate themselves about anything. They vote against their own interests all the time, if they vote at all. That whole “I’m not going to vote because A-B-C” is working out really well for this country right now isn’t it? Fucking religious zealots are sneaking into power and trying to restrict anything that isn’t rich, white, and male a large portion of the time. Pay attention people. If the GOP were really standing up for women’s rights they would be pushing for things like Maternal Health Accountability Act of 2011 and Paycheck Fairness Act. You can take your bullshit elsewhere ladies. I’m not buying what you’re selling. You can go fuck yourselves with a rusty implement of the farm variety, sideways. Unless you live in one of those jurisdictions that prohibits sex toys as immortal… wait. Nevermind, you’ve probably got a massive pleasure chest of toys that would make most people blush. Because of that “whole holier than thou” and “do as I say, not as I do” that all you “family values” fucktards cling to.
